The most popular neighborhood of the island is the bay of Little Venice (formerly known as Skarpa). It is a place of a distinct Mykonian architecture, so unique that seems to resemble to a miniature of the famous Italian city of Venice. All of the two-storey houses with the characteristic colorful and wooden closed balconies, the stairs and windows that seem to float, the bygone mansions of the rich merchants and captains, have been transformed into bars and restaurants. It is place where you can admire the most famous sunset of the island.
